Urbandale-based software development firm Lean TECHniques announced investment in Boon Logic, an autonomous machine learning company. Boon Logic offers two autonomous learning products: Amber, a predictive maintenance monitoring system that detects performance anomalies in equipment, and Avis, a form of visual inspection and quality assurance for manufacturing. Boon Logic and Lean TECHniques are exploring opportunities to offer predictive analytics to other potential markets, including agricultural equipment, wearables, automotive engines and other industrial equipment monitoring applications, Lean TECHniques said in a statement.
