PowerPollen receives patent for on-demand pollination technology

Ankeny-based PowerPollen has successfully patented its pollination-on-demand technology, the company announced last week. PowerPollen’s pollination technology applies collected pollen to female plants directly rather than relying on the male plant’s pollen shedding window, which maximizes yield and reduces the impact of adverse weather, PowerPollen said in a statement.
