The Business Record announces the honorees of the 2018 innovationIOWA awards.

Sheffield-based Sukup Manufacturing is the recipient of the Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont innovationLEADER award. The company employs nearly 600 and is a three-generation family business that began with Eugene Sukup in 1962.

Bob Riley, the recipient of the Iowa State University Ivy College of Business innovationENTREPRENEUR Award, purchased Feed Energy in 1986. He “immediately began the process of building a company with products developed on sound research and science,” according to the company’s website. Riley is active on many boards and speaks out strongly on the need to partner agriculture and environment interests.

“If I’m a lucky guy who somehow fell into this business and have been successful, I think as a CEO I have a responsibility to help be part of the solution,” he said in a story to be featured in the 2018 innovationIOWA magazine. Read more here.
