Eight Iowa schools received technology grants of up to $5,000 from CenturyLink’s Teachers and Technology program. The awards were part of $1.4 million in grants provided to 337 schools across the country through the company’s Clark M. Williams Foundation. The program annually provides grants to schools in CenturyLink’s local service and corporate locations on behalf of pre-K through 12th grade teachers who have developed plans to innovatively implement technology in their classrooms. In Greater Des Moines, Clay Elementary and Willowbrook Elementary in Altoona and Delaware Elementary in Des Moines each received $5,000 grants for technology projects.
