Members of the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) and the Iowa Biotechnology Association (IowaBio) have a chance to attend two gubernatorial candidate forums in Cedar Rapids, focusing on science and technology issues in Iowa, TAI announced Friday. Candidates Fred Hubbell, Democrat, and incumbent Gov. Kim Reynolds, Republican, will participate in two separate forum discussions with five panelists chosen by TAI and IowaBio. Both forums are members-only with a cap of 50 attendees; Hubbell will be hosted on Sept. 21, and Gov. Reynolds will be hosted Oct. 3. Members of either organization interested in attending can register at www.iowabio.org. Panelists include Erin Rollenhagen of Entrepreneurial Technologies; Laura Smith of UnityPoint Health; Ryan Schaap of Wells Enterprises; Abby Parta of Vertex Pharmaceuticals; Dr. Wendy Srnic of Corteva Agriscience (Sept. 21); and Dr. Keri Carstens of DuPont Pioneer’s Seed Treatment Enterprise (Oct. 3).
