As part of U.S. Cellular’s Business Tech Tour later this month, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will stop in Des Moines as a guest panelist for “Internet of Things (IoT) and Innovations in Business Solutions,” U.S. Cellular announced today. Scheduled for Oct. 30 in the Grand Ballroom of the Iowa Events Center, Wozniak will host an 11:30 a.m. Q&A about IoT technology’s role in business operations. After the discussion, U.S. Cellular will host an interactive IoT expo and panel discussions with experts from IBM, CyberReef, GPS Trackit and other businesses using IoT technology. The event is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis; reservations can be made online. “Hopefully, this event helps debunk some myths about IoT, and attendees can see that there are easy-to-implement tech solutions for all types of businesses,” said Ben Kipp, business area sales manager for U.S. Cellular in Iowa.
