BY KATE HAYDEN: I opened the Wall Street Journal story seeking the Dwolla mention, and finished it considering whether the office might approve playing Bach’s Cello Suites the rest of this week (politics aside – that would just be nice to listen to in colder weather). Companies nationwide, like the Des Moines-based Dwolla, are engaging employees with civic reminders and paid time off policies to get the workforce out to vote – some retail stores and corporate offices go as far as closing the doors on Tuesday. Other companies are putting plans in place to help upset employees re-calibrate the day after the election and take focus off the headlines. Maybe we could all use more soothing cello suites.
