The Global Insurance Accelerator announced seven insurtech startups joining the accelerator’s 2021 cohort. Based in Des Moines, the GIA will open this year’s 100-day program virtually on Jan. 19, the accelerator announced on Wednesday

“The startups selected as part of our 2021 cohort have solutions for all lines of business which, with time, dollars, and development, will help make the small commercial segment more accessible, allow insurers to launch pet insurance programs easily, transform the insurance purchasing experience, enable a faster response to catastrophic losses and much, much more,” said Nicole Gunderson, managing director of the GIA.

The 2021 cohort members are Anodz, Jayde, Rainwalk, Reeske, Sola, Solar Insure and Vaartani, with products ranging from workforce performance management, property and homeowner insurance platforms, and risk management products for business owners.

Startups will engage in virtual meetings with the GIA’s mentor network of insurance professionals, seasoned insurtech founders and GIA alumni and be introduced to investors. The 2021 program Demo Day will be held either virtually or in person as travel and health guidelines allow during the Global Insurance Symposium.
