LightEdge, a provider of compliant cloud and colocation services, announced a partnership this week with FD-IX, a Midwest internet exchange company, to install an Internet Exchange node at the LightEdge Data Center in Altoona, making it the first interstate Internet Exchange and FD-IX node in the state. Organizations connected to the Internet Exchange can directly exchange a portion of their traffic with other members, resulting in lower bandwidth costs, LightEdge said in a statement.
