Cedar Rapids-based data center and services company Involta will be acquired by Carlyle Group, a global investor firm. Involta owns and operates 12 data centers primarily in the Midwest and has a fiber network of 12,000 miles in the U.S. Carlyle will acquire Involta from M/C Partners. The investor firm has been expanding its infrastructure investments, supporting companies that serve the digital economy, and it plans to broaden Involta’s operations and capabilities nationwide.
