Colocation and cloud services provider LightEdge announced Tuesday it has acquired NFINIT, a San Diego-based infrastructure solutions provider, aiming to strengthen its footprint in the southwest. NFINIT offers data center, cloud, security, connectivity, and managed services to clients in the southwest region. With this acquisition, LightEdge will open four data centers in the region, three in California and one in Arizona. LightEdge has seven data centers in Texas and across the Midwest, including two in Des Moines. “We are extremely pleased to join forces with a very talented and quality NFINIT team,” LightEdge CEO Jim Masterson said in a release. “Thanks to NFINIT’s reputation as the incumbent and largest colocation operator in the San Diego market, this strategic acquisition positions LightEdge for continued expansion to further grow our North American presence.”
