Meta and Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs are hosting a premiere of a short documentary about an Iowa family-owned business followed by two panels discussing how to support the future of small businesses on Tuesday, April 25 at Fleur Cinema and Cafe. The documentary, “They Came From All Over,” was directed by Academy Award winner Rayka Zehtabchi and follows grocery store owner Tom Mulholland as he confronts the possibility of losing his family business and the effect it can have on his town of Malvern. The panels will feature small business owners, community leaders, and experts in urban planning and economic development covering the topics of creative placemaking and building businesses to be resilient.
