Iowa State University’s Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship and the Start Something College of Agriculture and Life Sciences program will host the seventh annual ISU Innovation Prize. The Innovation Prize is a weekend-long competition for Iowa State students, faculty, staff as well as the local entrepreneurial community. Participants will work in small teams to develop innovative solutions in three focus areas reflecting global issues: agtech, edtech and global impact. Teams will be formed around the ideas that are presented, so participants are not required to have a pre-conceived idea to participate. The competition will conclude with a final pitch presentation from each team in front of a panel of judges. The team with the most innovative solution within each of the three categories will receive a $2,500 cash prize. The free event begins at 5 p.m. at the ISU Research Park Core Facility on Sept. 15 and continues at 9 a.m. on Sept. 16. More information and registration are available at this link.
