The Greater Des Moines Partnership, Plains Angels and the Ag Startup Engine are partnering to hold the second Iowa Angel Investor Summit in Des Moines on Nov. 14. The one-day summit is for active and aspiring angel investors to come together to help accelerate entrepreneurs. Sessions will include discussions of how to become an angel investor, the state of angel investing currently and a conversation with Minnesota-based Groove Capital. Registration for the summit is limited to the first 100 people. The event will end with the Best of the Midwest pitch event featuring Midwest startups actively fundraising where angel investors and fund managers can jointly invest through a special investment fund created for just this event. Attendees for this portion of the event must be accredited investors. Startups interested in pitching have until Oct. 20 to apply. More information and registration is available on the event page.
