The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications now through Jan. 31 for the 2024 Athene Black and Brown Business Summit pitch competition. Applicants must be a for-profit business that is 51% minority owned and has been in business for at least two years. The selected businesses will be invited to participate in small business workshops during the summit on April 18-19 and deliver their pitch for the chance to win a portion of the cash prize. More than $100,000 has been awarded to companies at the pitch competition over the last three years, according to a news release. Bank of America is the exclusive partner of the pitch competition.
