The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program recently celebrated the cohort of 32 small business owners who completed the 12-week program. This was the 11th cohort of the program, which is administered by Des Moines Area Community College in collaboration with all of Iowa’s 15 community colleges. There are now 300 program alumni in Iowa and over 15,000 nationwide. The 10,000 Small Businesses program pairs participants with a dedicated business adviser to develop a customized growth plan and provides practical business education, access to capital and support services to help businesses address their most significant challenges. “The practical education and mentorship I received from the 10,000 Small Businesses program have been invaluable to my business,” Brittany Todd, owner of Mill Street Mocha in Decorah, said in a prepared statement. “With a solid growth plan in hand, I am looking forward to applying what I learned to take my business to the next level and am excited to join a community of small businesses, both in Iowa and nationally.” To view a list of all the graduates, click here.
