BrokerTech Ventures has announced the addition of Leavitt Group as a new partner. Leavitt Group is a privately held insurance broker headquartered in Cedar City, Utah, and joins BTV’s distribution network of 13 brokers and 14 carriers, wholesalers and community partners. “Joining BrokerTech Ventures marks an exciting step forward for The Leavitt Group as we continue to innovate and strengthen our commitment to the evolving insurance landscape,” Eric Leavitt, CEO of the Leavitt Group, said in a prepared statement. BTV has also opened applications for the 2025 BTV accelerator. The accelerator offers broker-centric insurtech startups direct access to BTV’s network of partners as well as over $500,000 in seed funding to each cohort. Entering its fifth year, the accelerator now has 58 alumni companies and 95% startup operating success, according to a news release. The release said cohort members come from around the world, including through partnerships with Insurtech Israel, Insurtech Ireland, and Insurtech Latin America. Applications are open until Dec. 20 with participant selection planned for early 2025.
