The Latina Business Excellence Summit has announced this year’s theme for its second annual event in Des Moines: “Health: Intersecting Financial, Physical and Mental Well-being.”
The 2025 summit will be held Aug. 9, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Drake University’s Sheslow Auditorium, 2507 University Ave. The event is the signature event of the JEFAS Latinas in Business Magazine, an Hola America publication featuring stories of Latina entrepreneurs. Founded in 2024, the summit aims to connect Latina business owners with resources and connections to help them thrive. This year’s summit will include panels, speakers and workshops that explore strategies for entrepreneurs to strengthen their finances, care for their bodies and prioritize their mental health. “This theme speaks directly to our community’s needs,” said Erika Macias, president and publisher of Hola America and JEFAS, in a prepared statement. “You can’t run a business if you’re burnt out, struggling silently or lacking the tools to build financial security. When Latina professionals are supported in all three areas of health, their potential is limitless.” Early bird pricing is available through June 30. To learn more or register, click here.
