Bayer opens innovation center at ISU Research Park 

The Iowa State University Research Park and the Crop Science division of Bayer have announced the opening of the Seed Production Innovation (SPI) Innovation Center on the research park campus. According to a news release, the innovation space will host producer education, innovation workshops and foster collaboration with partners, with a focus on delivering practical, value-add scientific and engineering solutions aligned with Bayer’s Seed Production Innovation readiness and innovation priorities. Bayer will place teams alongside faculty, students and industry collaborators as part of its goal to improve its seed production operations and accelerate applied innovation. The center’s proximity to Iowa State’s Digital Ag Innovation Lab is expected to provide opportunities for collaboration in precision agriculture, automation and data analytics, while providing hands-on learning experiences for students.
