The National Federation of Independent Business has announced that Cody Carlson is its new state director in Iowa. Carlson will be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s state advocacy, operations, political engagement, communications and programming on behalf of members across the state. He has spent the past five years advancing government affairs initiatives at the state and national levels in Iowa, working in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, he served as manager of government affairs for the Iowa League of Cities, where he helped to pass small government priorities, including property tax reform.
