The NewBoCo Intrapreneur Academy in Cedar Rapids is taking applications for a year-cohort beginning in October. Five to eight teams will be accepted for academy training that focus on a different innovation competency standard per quarter: Agile, Methods, Culture and Strategy. Teams in the inaugural cohort, which wrapped up in June, represented a mix of for-profit, non-profit and governmental entities, including the Office of the Linn County Auditor, Rockwell Collins and gourmet pet bakery Woofables. The Intrapreneur Academy supports teams working inside an established company or organization to build meaningful, innovative change, NewBoCo organizers say.
