The city of Cedar Rapids is seeking an vendor to provide an estimated $570,000 worth of equipment, and another vendor to operate the system, to bring a bike-share program to town in early 2019, reports the Cedar Rapids Gazette. Officials envision offering 200 bikes with 20 pickup and drop-off locations around downtown. Bidding would open on Oct. 3, with an expected contract awarded Oct. 23.
