Keith Brown, a former officer in with the Cedar Rapids Police Department, sought to create a more efficient shield for officers in the line of duty. He found it in vehicle floor mats, reports CBS2/FOX 28. Brown is debuting his patented ballistic floor mats, called Attack Mats, and this week’s Innovation EXPO 2018 in Cedar Rapids, and is already testing the product with officers in the New York City Police Department.
