Ana Pinto da Silva, co-founder and chief executive officer of the modular home company Minka Inc., will launch Iowa State University’s first Ignite Innovation Showcase with a lecture on April 16. Pinto da Silva will present the College of Design Dean’s Charrette Keynote Lecture “Learning Courage: Designing Innovation in a Post-COVID World” live via Zoom and YouTube. The Ignite Innovation Showcase is an eight-day event spotlighting innovations from every college. Events throughout the showcase include a theme park ride competition, a performing arts watch part, an innovation in the arts session, the 15th Iowa State University Symposium on Undergraduate Research and Creative Expression, and the Fashion Show 2021. Members of the public can register to attend for free online.
