The Octagon Center for the Arts and the Ames Community Arts Council are partnering to host the fourth annual Business of Art Conference, Radio Iowa reports. The conference is designed to bring together rural Iowa artists of all kinds to network and develop business and entrepreneurial skills. Each day features a keynote speech from Akwi Nji, a Cameroonian American visual and performance artist based in the Midwest, and breakout sessions on building the rural arts community, digital skills like podcasting and video and more.
