Propel is a new Des Moines-based company looking to fill a gap in marketing leadership by creating the Marketing Leadership-as-a-Service model (MLaaS). The company, which announced its launch Tuesday, has started offering services of its team of four chief marketing officers to help midsized businesses and venture-funded startups nationwide with marketing strategy and leadership. “Propel has been created at the intersection of the demand for more innovative marketing tied to business growth, talent shortages and hiring challenges, along with the trending benefits of flexible work in the gig economy. Our unique, subscription-based CMO model provides immediate expertise, performance driven results and a cost-effective model to fuel business growth,” Propel founder and CEO Gregory Bailey said in a release. Bailey also founded Denim Social in 2020.
