InnoVenture Iowa, the first public venture capital fund in Iowa, has added three new companies to its investment portfolio since the second quarter, it has announced. The fund began co-investing in early-stage, Iowa-based startups in bioscience, advanced manufacturing and information technology in 2023. The new portfolio companies are:

Coco Coders teaches children aged 6-14 how to code via live online, small cohort lessons each week. Coding principles that relate to the development and understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence aim to lay the foundation for students’ educations, and prepares them to join the digital economy for the rest of their lives.

Geminiii has developed the Golden Halo, a medical device that uses safe electromagnetic fields to precisely and non-invasively reprogram cancel cell metabolism at home while patients sleep.

Pyrone Systems is a biotech company that has developed scalable, biology-based methodologies to create a biopesticide that is more environmentally friendly and more effective than current solutions.
