Des Moines-based specialty food company Sunday Night Foods has received the Gold Award for dessert toppings from the Specialty Food Association’s 2024 sofi Awards for its Sea Salt Chocolate Premium Dessert Sauce. According to a news release, the sauce was selected by specialty food experts, buyers and media based on taste – including flavor, appearance, texture and aroma–ingredient quality and innovation. All tastings were anonymous and held at the Rutgers Food Innovation Center. The award is Sunday Night’s third in three years. It received New Product Awards in 2022 and 2023. Sunday Night was founded in 2021 by Eileen Gannon, who previously worked for Workiva.
