The University of Northern Iowa is accepting speaker applications for its TEDxUniversity of Northern Iowa event set for Oct. 25. The deadline to submit applications is Feb. 17. According to a news release, organizers are seeking inspiring speakers who can deliver powerful, thought-provoking talks on a variety of topics. More than 15 speakers from the Cedar Valley and beyond will be featured. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together in the spirit of discovering and sharing ideas, the release said.
