Iowa-based venture capital firm Next Level Ventures has announced the promotion of Liz Keehner to partner.

In her new role as partner, she will continue to lead investment strategy in Iowa, manage Iowa investor relations, work with portfolio company founders and help shape the firm’s long-term strategic direction.
She joined Next Level Ventures in 2021 and brings experience from multiple roles in venture capital. Keehner is an active advocate for Iowa’s innovation ecosystem and serves as president of the Iowa Venture Capital Association.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa.
“Liz has played an instrumental role in building our investment platform and strengthening our connections across Iowa’s innovation ecosystem,” said Craig Ibsen, managing partner at Next Level Ventures, in a prepared statement. “Her leadership, investment judgment, and commitment to founders will be critical as we continue to grow the firm, and we’re excited to recognize her well-deserved promotion to partner.”
Next Level Ventures manages over $700 million in assets across a portfolio of more than 60 companies through two large-scale investment strategies. Its Curql Fund focuses on building partnerships between fintech companies and credit unions, while its Iowa Funds provide capital for early-stage technology companies across multiple industries.
