NIACC JPEC hosts Iowa Student Entrepreneurship Summit

The NIACC John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center hosted the second annual Iowa Student Entrepreneurship Summit on April 11-12 in Mason City and Clear Lake. The event brought together business majors and student entrepreneurs from Iowa’s community colleges, private colleges and the University of Northern Iowa. The Student Entrepreneurship Summit included a student pitch competition followed by a day of interactive workshops designed to support personal growth, leadership development and entrepreneurial thinking.

ISU Pappajohn Center, Ivy College of Business receive entrepreneurial research award

The Iowa State University Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship and the Ivy College of Business have received an award for exceptional contributions to entrepreneurship research from the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC). The GCEC is an academic organization for university-based entrepreneurship centers. According to a news release, the award recognizes the research produced by Ivy College of Business faculty in collaboration with entrepreneurship faculty and leaders across Iowa State’s colleges

Fall statewide Venture School awards $11,300 to 10 startups

Iowa JPEC: The University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (Iowa JPEC) concluded its statewide spring Venture School program the week of Nov. 11 by awarding $11,300 in prize money during final pitches. UI JPEC to honor seven individuals at 2024 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Honors

The University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center will recognize seven entrepreneurs at its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Honors event. Awarded since 2020, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Honors recognize outstanding entrepreneurial accomplishments of UI alumni, students, faculty, mentors and Venture School participants. NIACC JPEC holding Pappajohn Entrepreneur Gala

The North Iowa Area Community College John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center will host the 2024 Pappajohn Entrepreneur Gala on Oct. 3, the center announced. The gala will celebrate North Iowa entrepreneurs and present Stellar Industries Inc. with the Legacy Award for its contributions to the region. Keune named new executive director of UI JPEC

Adam Keune, co-founder of Coralville-based Higher Learning Technologies, has been named the new executive director of the Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (Iowa JPEC) at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.  Keune was Iowa JPEC’s entrepreneur-in-residence in 2023-24 and has served on the center’s advisory board since 2018. The Iowa State University Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship has been recognized by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities’ (ACEEU) Triple E Awards for the second year.
