American Power Systems Inc. will launch a new, lithium-ion power system at the international defense and security exhibition Eurosatory, to be held June 11-15 in Paris. APS equips armored vehicles with custom power systems for defense missions; the new power pack APS will launch provides 12 hours of electrical current for equipment like counter-IED jammers and satellite communications, on a two-hour charge, APS President Amy Lank said in a statement. The new system can also be integrated with solar panels. APS has been based in Davenport since 2006.
