Myriad Advisor Solutions announced this week that it has begun laying fiber optic cable to power cutting-edge technology with the vision of creating a sustainable Smart Campus for businesses in the Quarter district, located at Ashworth Road and Grand Prairie Parkway in Waukee. Technology that will be available in buildings in the Smart Campus includes biometric access and monitoring to maximize energy efficiency and security; artificial intelligence that learns and monitors the habits and preferences of users to identify abnormalities and block possible network breaches; and integration of internet-of-things (IoT) applications campuswide. As the campus grows, Myriad will expand its service offering. “We see this opportunity to develop a Smart Campus as a win-win situation for everyone involved,” Leigh White, Myriad’s CEO and CIO, said in a prepared statement. “We get to expand our service offering into the state of Iowa, the city of Waukee becomes an early adopter of sustainable technology, and local entrepreneurs will have access to transformative technology to grow their businesses.” Myriad will move to its new office at 2520 S.E. Encompass Drive in August. It will begin offering fiber optic technology solutions in the fall.
