BrokerTech Ventures announced the addition of carrier Zurich North America to the BrokerTech platform and accelerator program this week. The addition of Zurich North America now brings BTV to 24 insurance brands nationally. BTV recently announced partnerships with InsurTech Israel and Ayalon Insurance Company to launch the Israeli InsurTech Accelerator internationally, and additional accelerator partnerships are under review for possible deployment in 2021, BTV said in a statement.

Applications are open to broker-focused startups for the Des Moines-based BrokerTech Ventures Accelerator’s 2021 program, the accelerator announced Oct. 29. The accelerator offers more than $500,000 in seed funding, up to $50,000 each to accepted startups. Submission deadlines for BrokerTech Ventures Accelerator is Nov. 30; selected startups will be notified in early February 2020. The cohort will begin the five-week Accelerator program in March 2021.

Two startup accelerators announced inaugural teams for their 2020 cohorts this week.
